It all starts with the soil, specially selected to withstand high temperatures of up to 2500 degrees Celsius.

The soil is sieved to remove stones and grass, then wetted and rubbed until it becomes soft like powder.

Then the molds are placed in special iron pieces called panteftia. We slowly pour the soil and hit it so that it becomes stone, hugging the mold all around, giving shape to the soil from the mold we placed.

Then we open the pantefti, carefully remove the bell and the design from the bell remains. We place the loop needed to hang the sistro and set fire to burn the soil so that all the moisture is gone, a critical point that requires a lot of attention to get a good result when pouring the metal into the pantefti in the next stage.

The furnace (oven) is lit, with special coal the temperature gradually rises within half an hour to 1000 degrees. The copper melts quickly and the funnel is filled within 1 hour with molten metal which, with the appropriate impurities, is converted into ore.

We close the furnace tightly and raise the temperature to 2500 degrees so that the metal boils.

Once the mixture is ready, we carefully scoop the metal with spoons and pour it into the molds.

The process is over, half an hour later the panteftia open and the new bells appear, with a lot of dirt around them stuck to the bells.

They are carefully cleaned with a brush and then they are passed through the lathe. There they are filed and with surgical movements we extract the notes of the sound that each bell has individually.

A loud sound, which sounds heavy with a long duration, something that helps the sound to travel hundreds of meters away.

This is the process of printing and casting the molds that give birth to new bells ready for all domestic animals around the planet.
